BC Beach Medium Oyster

Characteristics

• Medium live beach oysters are between 4-5” long
• This is the preferred size for grilling or baking
• BC harvest date and area are indicated on the accompanying shellfish tag

Handling & Storage

• Ensure all oysters are alive. Discard any that do not close when tapped with finger
• Store in cooler, between 1° to 4° C, covered with a wet cloth, ice, and allow water to drain
• Keep accompanying shellfish tag on file for 90 days
