Characteristics
- Lingcod is not really cod, but a member of the Greenling family
- Available Fresh or Frozen (FAS)
- Long-line caught product
- An Oceanwise choice
- Some meat may have a greenish tinge to the flesh, this is regarded as especially sweet and cooks up white
- It’s white, moist, lean meat is considered excellent for fish and chips or as the centre of the plate
- Excellent for Portioning, Steaking or Filleting
Handling & Storage
- Keep product well iced and store in cooler between1º to 4º C
- Iced properly around fish and in belly cavity will extend shelf life of fish
- Avoid leaving product sitting in ice melt. Re-ice daily.
- Minimum shelf life is 5 days from delivery.

Available Fresh March - November. Available Frozen All Year Round.

Cooking Tips
- Very moist and lean fish
- Especially good “en papillotte”, sautéed, fried or steamed
- Excellent substitute for Halibut, Pollock, Pacific Cod or other white fish
